With reference to women dressing up as Nurses, contact Bonkeers!!! (oo-er). Seriously though - Brian is our home front Rockin' Daddy-O.
And it's a BIG yes on the Home Front for existing and new menbers in the future.

Fellas,
For what it's worth, keep doing what you're doing !! Daft comment I know but I've seen you at a fair few events now both as a re-enactor and as an MOP and you're turnout is always spot on.
Our group has grown in the last 12 months and yes it is a worry when you start to expand because you feel like you are going to lose that close knit feel about the group. But the reason you expand is because you have been noted for your approach, proffesionalism and friendliness to newcomers and everyone on the scene.
I would say the Tigers have grown at a healthy rate, it just means that you have to help each other out more on the passge of info and I guess help Chris out with his email and phone bills !!! Just concentrate on your accuracy and portrayal and don't worry about anything else, you are a spot on group.
Keep up the good work and don't worry about the growth in fact encourage it. Not sure about the The Northants side but they recruit from Leicestershire (my Dad was in the Northants. for his basic training before he got moved to the R. Berks. Their depot was at Norwich !!!).
Up the Tigers !

New members = groups lifeblood. There is so much we can learn from one another - like how not do dig a trench, by Pikey and Tommy for example!
I agree with the 'keep on going as we are' philosophy.
See you all at Redditch gentlemen. (Don't forget the S.R.D. jug Gordon!)

A bit of update info & A Merry Christmas to you all from a happy re-enactor.
Tommy Atkins is now 26 Months old and we have a grand total of 26 regular ACTIVE members & about a dozen other associate members & occasional attendees. A BIG congratulations to all of you/us for making our second year such a success. The first year we had just about enough blokes to make up an under-strength Secton. We are now just about at Platoon strength!! Roll on year #3 gentlemen & a big thanks to you all for your continued enthusiasm and input as I'm sure Chris has bigger and better plans for us all next year.
Go for it Whizz-Bang, goodonyer, we are all behind you mate. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (That's my other Tiger imitation)

Can i just say that the past year was an excellent year for Tommy Atkins and it has been an honour and privilege to serve with you all. At our rate of new members joining, we'll have a regiment in no time!!! Seriously though, considering Chris' position two years ago, and even last year, this group is something i never would have imagined. It's fantastic to have so many, and all doing British infantry! The photo of us at Redditch in our 'Zulu' line just proves that Tommies are on the up! At this rate hollywood might realise that we were actually in the war...

Indeed what a great 26 months.... from a sole member struggling to gain recognition in the hobby to the societies full membership of the Royal Tigers Association.... outstanding ! I agree whole heartedly with Dom, never in my wildest dreams did we think the society would achieve this structure so soon (if at all). We've reached a point where we can incorporate other regiments within the society, which adheres to the idea of the society... "to promote the lives of the average infantry". In the 2 years we have become the biggest British infantry group in the UK & its thanks to the hard work and dedication of ALL members who have made this society what it is today.
My thanks to each & everyone of you. Special thanks to Vaughan, Bob & Monty for a ton of behind the scenes work, Bri for his dedication in the home front side & everyone else old & new who's kept the faith & enthusiasm over the times.

Hi,
I think all you guys should give yourselves a pat on the back, Although I am a new member and have not met you all, I have been in re-enactment for over tweenty years, mainly Roman and German ww2, what usually happens is that groups start off small and have a good time. then they grow because of success and then because of a large number of ego's, people want change, then the split. That is the danger.
Keep the attitude you all have, keep friendly, like you are one big family, you have a few points going for you.
1/ You are a British unit, the public connect with that
2/ Veterans like to see, and rember the good times in there service,
3/ With displays you are there for the public they can see your kit, weapons, and talk to you. You are customer friendly.there are groups that are not customer friendly.
4/ There are more privates than officers and nco's
I noticed TAS a year ago as a Mop, I looked around, at other Brit groups and you came out on top, I am pleased to be a member.
Greetings of the season tho you all
