For your money you get the AB64, both parts. Naafi tokens, Rail warrant, driving license, first aid card, aircraft recognition guide, and other odds and sods. well worth the money if you can afford it

As I still have my AB64 I will bring it to show when/if you come to Hinckley for the "Home Front" Museum show. You'll probably find it of interest as it has details in re. training, gas chambers, leave, inoculations/vacs, medical(incidentally I was A1 (vision), details of army glasses, next of kin,PYTHON Tour, etc, plus much more.I also have from Army Records copies of most of my documents covering my service, until recently you could obtain these but I now think it has been stopped. These have all different Regimental postings, when overseas NAFFI cigs/choc started and ended, more or less complete. I, as a volunteer had a choice of length of service, 7 and 5,(seven with colours and five reserve) 22years etc, BUT as a volunteer you could sign on for D of E (duration of emergency) in which you received a Demob Group number.(you still got put on reserve, I came back for two weeks in 51 for Korean war on Cents, but Mc Arthur managed without me!!! If I can help any one on this subject Chris has my email address. Oh yes, I did take the Kings Shilling----and spent it!!

I've never met anyone who kept it.... Sadly a tradition long gone.
