Just got "Call of Duty" on the PS2, only done the first 3 missions which are Russian and so far I like it, apart from the ramdom miss even when using the sniper rifle.

The "finest hour" one, so if you've got a PC, it'll be the old one, After a flighing start I'm stuck on level 4 defending the factory, so I'm play Killzone instead.

I've not had the chance to do a college review for Killzone yet, but word on the street is it's mighty repetitive, and although the graphics are spiffing it is really lacking in any colour - what's your view max? COD is hamazing... no doubt about it Dan

Killzone is like Two Empiral guard armies at war but one is touched by Chaos. I like the story line but having not completed it that could change. It offers nothing new in game play, it has some same old complaints 1. you get re-equiped every couple of missions which your me you loose all the good weapons. 2. fully auto only weapons take about 20rds to kill, but use the pistol and you take them down in one. 3. most of the bad guys are thick and just stand in the open and get shot.
I've not found it repetative, but then I've not finished it, Now Half Life that was REPETATIVE.

half life 1 or 2? I'm getting half-life 2 in the next week (bloody christmas post...) but I have to say the graphics are spiffy... I kinga guessed the killzone storyline was chaos and imperial, but if it's interesting still then it's worth a shot. I've always hated the 20 round smg, 1 shot pistol - but it seems to be an integral part of most fps games. I've recently got Ghost Recon 2, if realism is what you're after then this is it - it's set in a war in North Korea in 2011, but fear not - it still has perfectly accurate modern day brits with the mighty SA80 (although it never jams, so it's not perfect - it must be the A2 version...) - well worth a shot, although the PS2 version is nothing like the XBox version (shoddier graphics, less realism, stupid AI) the game has decent AI - i've been ambushed and flanked by the buggers! You take hits properly too - if you are winged on the arm or leg then weapon accuracy, reload times, running speeds, reaction time all go to pot, hit once more and you're down for the count - same goes for chest and head shots - one shot, you're dead jim. It's a nice tactical based shooter, so give it a go if you have the shrapnel to buy it with Dan

www.fileplanet.com/files/130000/131330.shtmlThere you go mate - you'll have to become a member of fileplanet (through gamespy I think) to access it, but if you dont want to sign up i'll happily PM you my password and username so you can donload it. As a warning, fileplanet isn't the fastest download centre in the world, you have to wait in a cue before you even touch the file you want - but they're safe files, and generally they give you what they say. Enjoy

I've got the first "ghost recon" on Xbox it's to involved for me, I like pick up and plays. I've finished Killzone, Didn't find it repetative at all, you get nothing for finishing it.
I'm half way through the PS2 version of Call of Duty, which are the British desert missions and I HATE IT! All your doing is charging MG's all the time, you have to be in the line of fire to shoot back, you have little if no control over how far he throws the grenades. the hit system doesn't make any sence at all. it's like blating you shoot a german in the chest a 10m with a enfield, it registers the hit but the german just turns and MP40's you to death before you load the next round.
Your not going to like me but I think the game play on the PS2 was better in the Medal of honour games!
